Tattoo Process

INFORMATION

GETTING STARTED

  • You must be 18 or older to get a tattoo (ID will be required)

  • In the contact email please describe your tattoo idea in full detail. Include the location on your body where you would like the tattoo, size, expectations, and any other information that will help me better grasp your desired vision.

  • Once the initial email is sent I will send you information regarding scheduling and pricing along with any questions I have about your project. Please attach any images that you would like to use for reference in your response. These images are important because they will allow me to properly visualize and design the tattoo.

  • Please also send a photo of the location on your body where you would like the tattoo done.

  • Note that the reference images will be used as inspiration only, I will not copy any other artists' designs.

  • It is important to make sure that the project is a good match for me before we can discuss available appointment dates and accept deposits. So please be open to any design idea I have that would better match my style and your idea.

CREATING YOUR DESIGN

  • At the beginning of your first appointment, we will discuss and finalize your tattoo design. Complete designs will not be prepared before the session. I will design a first draft with your direct input – we can brainstorm together and see if anything needs to be improved or added. This process usually takes around one to two hours and is a part of the session’s time.

  • For larger or more complex projects, we may need to spend your first session working on the design. In this situation, payment will be treated for the design session as it would be for tattooing time at the usual rate.

PRICING

  • Pricing is subject to change at any time and will be disclosed upon first contact. Full-day appointments are 6 hours long including design.

  • Larger projects such as full sleeves and back pieces may take 8 to 12 sessions, and leg sleeves take even longer, depending on variables such as skin type, the size and detail of the tattoo, and other factors not listed here. As this is an artistic project, there is no way to guarantee the exact amount of sessions a tattoo will take upfront – every project and person is unique.

  • Smaller tattoos that do not exceed an hour will require a tattoo minimum

  • All Design Deposits are for the tattoo design and research, this is time spent to prepare for the tattoo prior to the first appointment, however, this does not mean the design will be 100% complete upon appointment time. This deposit DOES NOT go towards the day of tattooing. 

  • Hourly rate includes all time during the process including research, design, and tattooing. 

PAYMENT & DEPOSITS

  • Partial payment will be collected before the start of each session, with the final amount due immediately after the tattoo session.

  • Cash, Paypal, or Venmo/Cash App are all accepted forms of payment.

  • A $300 Design Deposit is required to secure your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit serves to reserve your booking date and is used to initiate the research and design of the tattoo prior to your first appointment. New Design Deposits will be required with each new design.

  • Once we agree on all the details regarding your tattoo project, you will receive instructions on how to pay your deposit.

  • If you need to change the date of your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, please let me know at least 7 days before the session to rearrange the schedules.

  • If you fail to show up to your appointment or do not let me know before the 7-day deadline that you won't be able to show up, your full deposit will be absorbed and a new deposit will be required to rebook a new appointment. Thank you for understanding that my time is valuable. 

  • Once again, DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE

APPOINTMENT​

  • The tattoo session will usually start at the time stated in the email thread, please be on time and ready to go.

  • Please bring your government-issued ID and be prepared to fill out a legal waiver before we start.

  • Clients only. At this time I cannot permit any guests or visitors to be present during appointments.

  • Please do not drink any alcohol or take any blood-thinning medication before your appointment.

  • Make sure to be well-rested before coming into the appointment and eat a meal beforehand to prevent low blood sugar issues.

  • Make sure to wear comfortable clothing that helps with the tattooing process – if you’re getting a tattoo on your arm, a tank top or sleeveless t-shirt will be helpful – if you’re getting a tattoo on your leg - it’s better to wear shorts.

  • Please bring food and water to ensure minimal delays with our tattoo session. Tattoos are less painful and your artist is able to work more proficiently when your body is nourished and fed. 

  • If you are late, please email or text me. If you are more than 30 minutes late without any notification, the session will be canceled. 

  • If you do not show up for the appointment your deposit will not be refunded and a new deposit will be required to book a new appointment.

HEALTH & SAFTEY

  • Please let me know in advance if you have any contagious or serious medical conditions, allergies, or skin disorders.

  • If you are sick or feel unwell in any way before your appointment please contact me and we will reschedule. 

DISCLOSURE

  • In paying your deposit, you agree to the entire policy above and agree that the deposit cannot be refunded for any reason whatsoever.

  • I make sure to respond to emails weekly. Please be patient, you will receive a reply as soon as possible.
